Job Summary:
Responsible for the direction of crew activities on job site, according to pre-established schedules, standards and procedures to provide a high quality of service, as directed by Area Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and implement job specifications for each siteAssign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliancePerform landscape maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: mowing, edging, blowing, bed grooming, pruning, fertilizing and leaf pick upRoutinely monitor sites for quality and follow up with crews on performance improvements. Communicate continuing concerns to Area ManagerConduct and oversee execution of minor Enhancement projects performed at the crew levelComplete daily paperwork timely and accuratelyAssess equipment operation issues and effectively communicate repair needs to shop personnelSupervise safe loading and unloading of equipmentAssist Area Manager with initial and on-going training of crewsAssess skill level and work behavior of employees and provide recommendations to Area Manager regarding professional development, performance evaluation and promotional opportunitiesEnsure adherence to company policiesDevelop and maintain a positive work relationship with Area Manager, peers, and subordinatesEncourage and maintain safe working conditions by promoting Company’s “Culture of Safety”, including but not limited to reinforcing bi-weekly safety tailgate meetings and ensuring proper personal protective equipment usageQualifications:
Education
At least 3-5 years related work experienceLanguage Skills
Ability to communicate in EnglishBi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferredCertificates, Licenses and Registrations
Valid Driver License in state where employedOther Knowledge,

Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment and toolsDemonstrate proper pruning techniques while taking into account the plant material and seasonUnderstand fertilization basics for both turf and plantsWorking knowledge of herbicide applications and relevant practicesHave a general understanding of annuals installation and maintenanceAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under tight deadlinesAbility to motivate and lead subordinatesStrong commitment to high quality of work and customer serviceAbility to read and understand maps for navigation and job planningBasic understanding of smartphone apps related to work requirements (e.g. work order entry, time entry, communication with Area Manager)Total Rewards

Pay range: $25.00 - $28.50
