Position Description
Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for the SACROC/LDMU Production Fields in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the field with emphasis on producing wells and its facilities. The SACROC and LDMU Production Fields employ over 600 wells used for oil and gas production.
The Production systems consist of separation facilities for oil, water and gas measurement to include miscellaneous pumps and equipment.
- Provide supervisory leadership to subordinates and develop employees for advancement.
- Provide technical and safety leadership to the Production group.
- Prepare reliability plans for critical equipment systems.
- Monitor production rates, relay all declines and operational issues to the Production Superintendent.
- Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost-effective operation, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.
- Support and work with outside groups such as Well Workover/Completion, Reservoir Surveillance, and Construction Groups.
- Prepare the operating budget on an annual basis and monitor budgetary performance throughout the year.
Education: High School Diploma. Technical or Trade School.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or similar technology degree.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:- Proven track record in managing oil and gas operations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of CO2 EOR operations.
- 10+ years of relevant oil and gas field operations experience.
- Knowledge of high-pressure 2‑ and 3‑phase oil and gas separation equipment and measurement.
- Knowledge of high‑pressure injection pumps, systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of variable speed lift systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and IFix.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good public speaking and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, day and night.
- May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Field vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances.
- Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on‑call weekend.
- Must be available 24 hours a day Monday‑Friday and for scheduled on‑call weekends.
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes during on‑call duties.
