Overview

Snyder ISD is searching for a transportation coordinator. This individual will manage and coordinate the district's transportation operations and oversee maintenance of all district-owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a CDL and have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, they should be comfortable with utilizing various forms of technology to aid in their duties. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to make a meaningful impact within the school district and ensure safe and efficient transportation for students.

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent experience, including prior military experience

Clear and valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or ability to obtain within 60 days

Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Ability to direct and manage operations of a large fleet of vehicles
  • Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam
  • Basic knowledge of energy management and vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Ability to conduct on-site inspections of all vehicle repair and maintenance operations
  • Ability to review budget and manage personnel
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to interpret data
  • Ability to use technology to plan, operate, monitor, and evaluate transportation operations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Experience

2-4 years’ experience in transportation and fleet operations, campus secretarial duties, or other relevant experience.

    All full-time staff are eligible for an additional 401(a) contribution for each 5 years of service: $500 at 5 years, up to $3,000 at 30 years.
