Overview
Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team! Pay: $11.00 to $13.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.45 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

- The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

- VACATION:
One week of paid vacation after six months of service; additional weeks after one year and on each anniversary date thereafter, with adjustments as required by state/local laws. 120 hours after five years. - SICK/PERSONAL: 8 hours after 6 months to be used before first anniversary; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5); 24 hours after five years (where applicable).

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.
The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS commission based on productivity. The actual pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of a Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales AssociateThis is a representative list of general duties and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Employees may assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored externally.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
