Restaurant General Manager

The successful candidate for this position will manage the day-to-day operations of a local Firehouse Subs restaurant and will be fully accountable for the profitability of the store while adhering to all Food Safety guidelines as well as Franchise Operations guidelines.

• Minimum of 3 years Restaurant Store Management/General Manager experience
• Prefer a minimum of an associate's degree in business management, marketing or hospitality
• Must hold & maintain a Manager Food Safety Certification within 8 weeks of hire
• Must be available to work in-store 45-55 hours per week, minimum of 2 nights per week and weekends, and must be available to work all days the store is open
• Must have experience using computer and be tech savvy
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to chest height

• Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations including health, hour and wage, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures.
• Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® “culture” of a cheerful and fun work environment.
• Ensure the profitability of business by operating within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllable expenses, utilities and sales growth.
• Coordinate and implement current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.
• Ensure proper staffing with qualified personnel and provide continuous training and development of staff.
• Actively participate in Local Restaurant Marketing in local trade area.
• Implement and promote all Public Safety Foundation initiatives.
• Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule.
• Maintain awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities.
• Represent Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all times.
• Communicate effectively to the Operations Manager/District Manager any issues that may impact the business.
• Assist in maintaining restaurant equipment in full working order and communicate problems immediately via Repair and Maintenance Request forms.
• Able to work on feet for up to 13 hours at a time.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs to chest height.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager/Director of Operations or Owner.

• Ensure daily workflow is always up to date.
• Verify store cash funds daily, reporting any large discrepancies (>20.00) immediately to Office.
• Handle scheduling of staff.
• Interview and recommend hires for the store.
• Train new hires on all shifts.
• Conduct weekly and monthly inventory at close of business on Sunday night.
• Complete “Red Book” Daily and “Green Sheet” Weekly.
• Handle compliance on COVID-19 health checks, policies and procedures.
• Order all product for the store.
