Overview

Introduction:
Must be able to work any day of the week/weekend, as well as any shift (morning, evening, nights). 1+ year of ER experience required. Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a Soddy Daisy ER Nurse PRN to join our team and contribute to our commitment to giving back to the community.

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communication of patient needs.

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment ranges, and care appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process for individualized care to meet patient needs.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

• Current RN licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS within 1 year of employment.
• CPI within 6 months of employment.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital near downtown Chattanooga with comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services including cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment, intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, rehabilitation, a neurosurgery program, OB-GYN services, and a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). There are also NICU and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
