Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and support patients and their families through physical, psychological and educational care.

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate records.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development appropriate to patient age.
• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet patient needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures with competence.

• Current RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a compact state board.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of employment.
• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.
• 1 year of ER experience required.
