This position is accountable for the profitable operation of a Firehouse Subs Restaurant while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations.

- Ensure profitability by operating within guidelines for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth
- Assist the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives
- Assist with staffing of the restaurant with qualified personnel and employees who are trained and developed properly
- Provide continuous training and development of the restaurant staff
- Promote all Public Safety Foundation initiatives
- Ensure programs, reports and legal documents are accurate and completed on schedule
- Maintain awareness of community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities
- Represent Firehouse Subs professionally and positively at all times
- Communicate effectively to the General Manager any issues that may impact the business
- Assist in maintaining restaurant equipment in full working order and report problems
- Able to work on feet for up to 10 hours at a time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs to chest height
- Any other duties assigned by the General Manager, Operations Manager, HR Manager or Owner
- Ensuring Daily Workflow is always up to date
- Verifying store cash funds daily and reporting large discrepancies (>20.00) immediately
- Assists with staff scheduling
- Assists with interviews and recommends hires for the store
- Assists in training of new team members and recently promoted shift leaders
- Assists with weekly and monthly inventory at close of business on Sunday night
- Completing “Red Book” Daily and “Green Sheet” Weekly
- Handles compliance on COVID-19 health checks, policies and procedures
- Assists with ordering all product for the store
- Must be available to work in-store 40-45 hours per week with a minimum of 3 nights per week and weekends and must be available to work all days the store is open
- Must pass all practical exams including all positions (Prep and Slicing) and be able to write accurate prep and slicing lists; must complete tasks before 10:30am
- Must hold and maintain a Manager Food Safety Certification prior to being left as the person in charge of the store
