The Leak Repair Technician is responsible for detecting, locating, evaluating, and repairing leaks onsite at client work sites.
Essential Job Functions- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.
- Assesses leaking component(s) and reports findings to supervisory personnel and engineering.
- Performs leak repair operations, including techniques such as drilling and tapping, wiring and banding, clamp and enclosure installation, measuring components, stand-by operations, inspections, and performance evaluation of repair activities.
- Identifies circumstances requiring proper safety equipment usage.
- Documents and completes administrative procedures as required.
- Communicates and collaborates with field personnel, client representatives, and management.
- Maintains awareness of company products and services available to customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical schooling preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in industrial operations or maintenance preferred.
- Ability to perform various tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work preferred.
- Ability to follow precise directions and procedures from supervisors.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Current HAZWOPER training certificate preferred.
- Travel requirement: 0% - 75%.
- Position based out of a branch or site location.
- Indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Work around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must wear safety equipment as required.
- Potential to work at multiple sites and tolerate climate changes.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to walk and climb, except during non-field duties.
- Effective communication skills, with or without accommodations.
- Good observation skills, with or without accommodations.
- Manual dexterity for routine tasks, with or without accommodations.
- Mobility and reflexes for office duties and travel.
- Ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
