Description

The Leak Repair Technician is responsible for detecting, locating, evaluating, and repairing leaks onsite at client work sites.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.
  • Assesses leaking component(s) and reports findings to supervisory personnel and engineering.
  • Performs leak repair operations, including techniques such as drilling and tapping, wiring and banding, clamp and enclosure installation, measuring components, stand-by operations, inspections, and performance evaluation of repair activities.
  • Identifies circumstances requiring proper safety equipment usage.
  • Documents and completes administrative procedures as required.
  • Communicates and collaborates with field personnel, client representatives, and management.
  • Maintains awareness of company products and services available to customers.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical schooling preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in industrial operations or maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to perform various tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work preferred.
  • Ability to follow precise directions and procedures from supervisors.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Current HAZWOPER training certificate preferred.
  • Travel requirement: 0% - 75%.
Work Conditions
  • Position based out of a branch or site location.
  • Indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
  • Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Work around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must wear safety equipment as required.
  • Potential to work at multiple sites and tolerate climate changes.
  • Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and climb, except during non-field duties.
  • Effective communication skills, with or without accommodations.
  • Good observation skills, with or without accommodations.
  • Manual dexterity for routine tasks, with or without accommodations.
  • Mobility and reflexes for office duties and travel.
  • Ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
