Salary: $110,345
Performs general and emergency repairs to nuclear plant main and auxiliary electrical equipment, including generators, exciters, motors, controls, transformers, switchboards, station lighting, cranes, batteries, relays, telephones, and air‑conditioning equipment. Work includes dismantling, assembling, renewing parts, and troubleshooting and adjusting controls. A minor portion of time is spent on infrequent construction work, preparing reports, and checking operating conditions of equipment.

- Dismantling, assembling, and renewing parts of electrical equipment.
- Troubleshooting and adjusting controls, including solid‑state controls.
- Periodic reporting and checking operating conditions of electrical equipment.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a TVA‑recognized, Department of Labor‑approved craft journeyman apprenticeship program, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Several years of experience in maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical characteristics of equipment installed in the plant (motors, generators, controls, relays, transformers, batteries, and communication equipment).
- Ability to apply knowledge to procedures in all emergencies and routine maintenance.
