Network Security Engineer

CCDS is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team for a one-year, project-based contract in Sohar, Oman.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions
• Administer and optimize Palo Alto and Fortinet security products
• Monitor network performance, security events, and potential threats
• Implement firewall policies, VPNs, routing, switching, and access-control rules
• Investigate network and security incidents and provide timely resolutions
• Perform system upgrades, security hardening, and configuration reviews
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational reports
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and customers to meet service requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven professional experience in network security engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security solutions
• Solid experience with Fortinet technologies
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, network protocols, and firewall management
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work full-time and on-site in Sohar, Oman

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
