AEVEX is looking for a Production Assistant to support our Production team at the Solana Beach office for a 3‑6 month temporary assignment.

This role ensures contract requirements, product specifications, and deadlines are met by assisting with production activities.

• Assist with production and capacity planning in a low volume high mix environment, kitting from pick list and full execution of S&OP results
• Assist with receiving inspections to validate the quality of purchased raw materials based on set acceptance criteria
• Assist with monitoring, tracking, and moving parts as required through the company to ensure timely delivery to next production location
• Coordinate off‑site processing of parts to ensure on‑time delivery
• Assist with maintaining reports to highlight needs, deliverables and constraints as required for internal and customer use
• Assist with setting and overseeing work assignments, schedules, and work quality of the manufacturing team
• Coordinate work with and of appropriate department staff so that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist with identifying, acquiring, and ensuring the availability of materials and supplies
• Assist and coordinate hardware testing with quality assurance staff
• Identify requirements for packaging and shipping
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Security Clearance – Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
• Familiarity with FAR part 12 and FAR part 15 government procurement desired
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite or similar software
• Familiarity with International and Domestic shipping services, including Fed Ex and UPS, and hazardous material shipping requirements preferred
• Familiarity with Bills of Material preferred
• Experience with Cycle Counting preferred
• Familiarity with ERP system preferred
• Familiarity of cGMP preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Production Management, or a related field

• 0‑2+ years of experience in related disciplines including design drafting, production planning, or assembly work, required
• Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry a plus
• Stockroom/Inventory Control experience preferred
• Kan Ban experience preferred
