Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 26‑week travel assignment in Soldotna, Alaska. The position offers competitive pay of $3,212 per week and comprehensive benefits.

- Hours:
40 per week (8‑hour shifts) - Shift: 8 hours, days

Facility in Soldotna, Alaska
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures.
- Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
- Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures.
- Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guide wires, and contrast agents.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
- Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations.
- One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Valid radiologic technologist license in compliance with state regulations.
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- Computer proficiency in basic PC skills.
- Physical stamina to remain stationary and move equipment up to 100 lbs.
- Interpersonal skills to work professionally with diverse personnel.
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation during procedures.
- Mental resilience under pressure and irregular schedules.
