Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Alaska with a minimum of 3 years of med-surg experience and an active AK RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a 31-bed Med/Surg unit of a hospital setting
- Patient assignments follow national nurse-to-patient ratio standards
- 12-hour night shifts are required
- Uses Meditech and OBIX charting systems and Pyxis Supply Stations
- No floating to other units is required
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- 3-day training on Meditech and OBIX systems with additional unit-specific orientation provided
- Medication testing must be completed onsite within the first two weeks
- Occasional on-call coverage may be needed
- Active Alaska RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years of med-surg nursing experience
- Current certifications in HS AED and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required
- Strong critical thinking skills are essential
