American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Alaska requiring a current AK RN license and 3 years of Med-Surg experience.

• Work in a 31-bed Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Care for adult medical-surgical patients with varied conditions
• Utilizes equipment including Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations
• 12-hour night shifts are required
• On-call participation may be needed
• Scrubs are provided for this position
• Comprehensive unit-specific orientation and Meditech/OBIX training are included
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing
• No floating to other departments required
• Orientation includes three days of EMR training and unit-specific support

• Active AK state RN license required
• Current BLS and HS AED certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years recent Med-Surg experience with strong critical thinking skills
• Successful completion of medication testing within first two weeks of assignment
