Compensation

This range is provided by California Correctional Health Care Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$/yr - $/yr

$355,680 Time-Limited Board Certified

$337,872 Lifetime Board Certified

$320,124 Pre-Board Certified

About the Position

Within a structured, multidisciplinary team, provide primary care that may include treatment related to:

  • Routine Preventive Care
  • Chronic disease management and education
  • Public Health
  • HIV/HCV Care

Here, physicians have access to the tools needed for successful delivery of care, including:

  • Expansive Drug Formulary
  • Referrals to Specialty Care and Services
  • Strong Nursing Teams
  • Expansive Allied Health Services

What CCHCS physicians don’t have:

  • Insurance, Worker’s Comp, and Disability paperwork
  • Unrealistic patient volume – most primary care physicians see fewer patients per day than their private sector/HMO colleagues and are able to take the time they need for appointments
  • Missed time with friends and family – with a 40-hour workweek, CCHCS physicians are able to care for patients and themselves
