Job Title: Registered Dietitian – Corrections Setting
Location: Soledad, ca
Pay Rate: $47–$49/hour
Assignment Duration: October 13, 2025 – June 7, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute meal break)
Contract Length: 35 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Classification: RD (Registered Dietitian)

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join the healthcare team in a correctional setting. This role focuses on providing comprehensive nutrition care, supporting patient health, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, professional, and comfortable working within a secure environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct nutritional assessments for patients with acute, chronic, and special dietary needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
Provide counseling and education to patients on diet, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support integrated care.
Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards in a corrections environment.
Monitor food service operations and menu planning for nutritional adequacy when required.
Document care plans, assessments, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
QualificationsActive Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Previous experience in corrections, acute care, public health, or similar setting preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary medical team and in a structured environment.
