Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician
Location: Correctional Facility in Soledad, California
Pay Rate: $52.75 to $54.75 per hour
Schedule: 6 to 9 months, full-time contract with potential for extension

Available Shifts:

  • Wednesday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Wednesday to Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Thursday to Monday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Thursday to Monday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Friday to Tuesday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Friday to Tuesday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Saturday to Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Saturday to Wednesday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Minimum of twelve continuous months of Licensed Psychiatric Technician experience within the last three years providing direct patient care in a public or private institution
  • Clinical competencies must be current
  • Valid photo  (Drivers License or Passport)
  • Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for clients
  • Collaborate with the service coordinator in developing client care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Promptly notify physicians of incidents, changes in patient condition, or treatment needs
  • Maintain clear and direct communication with staff and support them in daily responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison among the physician, client, and interdisciplinary team
  • Complete incident, medication error, and drug reaction reports in a timely manner
