Coalville Salary / Hourly Rate: £19.50per hour (LTD) Job Type: Contract About the Role Our client, a busy and well-established automotive accident repair bodyshop, is currently seeking an experienced Strip Fitter / Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician to join their team in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bodyshop technician / MET strip fitter / vehicle dismantler and re assembler who is confident working on a wide range of accident repair and insurance-repair vehicles.
You will be responsible for the strip down, refit, and rebuild of vehicles to support the full repair process, working closely with panel beaters, MET technicians, and paint technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities Strip down vehicles involved in accident repair work Remove and refit mechanical and trim components to support panel and body repairs Assist with vehicle dismantling and reassembly (strip & fit work) Ensure all parts are stored, labelled, and refitted correctly Work closely with panel technicians, MET technicians, and paint teams Rebuild vehicles to manufacturer and safety standards Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the bodyshop Support efficient workflow to ensure vehicles move smoothly through repair stages About You Experienced Strip Fitter, Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician, or Bodyshop Technician Strong background in automotive accident repair or bodyshop environments Confident with vehicle dismantling, stripping, and reassembly Good understanding of mechanical and trim components (MET awareness desirable) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bodyshop setting High attention to detail and quality workmanship Whats on Offer £19.50per hour LTD rate Ongoing contract with consistent workload Opportunity to work within a busy accident repair bodyshop Weekly pay options available Supportive and experienced workshop team Keywords Strip Fitter, Vehicle Strip Fitter, Strip and Fit Technician, Bodyshop Technician, MET Technician, Vehicle Dismantler, Vehicle Re assembler, Accident Repair, Bodyshop Repair, Automotive Technician, Crash Repair, Panel Strip Fitter
