Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Vehicle Technician in Solihull, West Midlands. This is a key role within a reputable main dealership, offering excellent career development and earning potential for experienced motor trade professionals.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
Work on mechanical systems including suspension, brakes, steering, and exhausts
Perform diagnostic checks using electronic diagnostic tools
Service and repair hybrid and electric vehicles (training provided if required)
Fit manufacturer-approved accessories and upgrades
Complete job cards and service documentation accurately
Maintain high standards of customer service and collaborate effectively within the workshop team Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
Full UK driving licence
MOT testing licence (desirable, but not essential)
Hybrid or EV qualification (advantageous but not essential; full training provided)
Proactive attitude with a focus on quality and efficiency
