We are recruiting for a Service Advisor to join an established main dealership in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for an automotive Service Advisor who enjoys building relationships with customers, managing a busy workshop diary and maximising aftersales opportunities.

You’ll be joining a supportive and fast-paced aftersales department where you’ll work closely with customers, technicians and workshop management to ensure an excellent customer experience.

• Acting as a key point of contact for customers throughout the aftersales process
• Booking vehicles into the workshop for servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Managing workshop diaries and scheduling work
• Liaising closely with Vehicle Technicians and workshop management
• Providing customers with accurate estimates for repairs and servicing
• Explaining costs, timescales and required work clearly and professionally
• Keeping customers updated throughout their vehicle’s time in the workshop
• Obtaining customer authorisation for additional work
• Promoting additional products, services, parts and accessories where appropriate
• Maximising sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
• Ensuring customer records and relevant documentation are completed accurately
• Working towards departmental customer satisfaction and performance targets

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry at a Main Dealer is essential
• Main dealership or established independent garage experience considered
• Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
• Confident discussing servicing, maintenance and repair requirements with customers
• Strong organisational and diary-management skills
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities
• Comfortable working towards targets and KPIs
• Able to manage multiple customers and priorities in a busy environment
• Professional and customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
