Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our Neighbourhoods?

Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around Solihull.

You will be someone who takes a hands‑on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and developing strong relationships with local communities.

What could you be doing as one of our Neighbourhood Officers?

The Neighbourhood Officer will be responsible for visiting customers, providing advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying any problems. You will be regularly inspecting our estates, raising, reporting and monitoring to a successful conclusion any health and safety or safeguarding concerns.

You will also be responsible for playing a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.

As a Neighbourhood Officer, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate customer, tenancy and case records, ensuring systems and files are kept up to date and information is recorded promptly. Your attention to detail will help support excellent service delivery, informed decision‑making and compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.

Other key responsibilities include managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti‑social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns. You will also undertake new tenancy sign‑ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.

What are some things that we need from you?

  • You will have experience of working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
  • This will be a role well suited to someone with experience of working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
  • You will be proactive in your approach, organised and have the ability prioritise your time to meet time frames.
  • Experience of working with different housing management systems with an organised and methodical approach to your work.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
  • This role involves regular travel.

Adriving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
  • Due to the travel required around the patch, the candidate will ideally be based near to Solihull.
  • This role will require a basic DBS check.

What are some of our great benefits?

  • Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave
  • Family friendly policies including generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave
  • Medicash membership for all employees which includes access to an employee assistanceprogramme, discounted gym membership and exclusive discounts
  • Health Cash Plan worth up to £1700 p/a with cashback for dental, optical, physio and complementary therapies and more
  • Pension contribution scheme with employer contributions of up to 12% (inclusive of life assurance and dependent on employee contributions)
  • Learning and Development opportunities
  • Salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme
  • Employee reward and recognition scheme with wellbeing hub and discount from a wide range of retailers

Interviews are scheduled to take place on 28th August and 1st September at our Birmingham Business Park office.
