Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Near Solihull, Midlands
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
On behalf of our client, a family-owned construction company based near Solihull, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Design Co-ordinator to join their growing team.
The business delivers a diverse range of high-quality projects, including bespoke modular extensions for a variety of uses, large-scale construction projects across civils and M&E, refurbishments, and unique, one-off multi-million-pound new build residential schemes. This is an exciting opportunity to work across technically interesting and varied projects within a well-established and collaborative environment.
The Design Co-ordinator will play a key role in managing and coordinating design information, acting as the central point of contact between contractors, architects, and consultants throughout both pre-construction and delivery stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate design information between contractors, architects, and consultants
- Manage, review, and issue drawings, ensuring accuracy and consistency across project teams
- Liaise directly with external consultants to progress design development and resolve queries
- Support the construction team by ensuring timely flow of up-to-date design information
- Track design changes and assist in resolving technical and coordination issues
- Contribute to both tender-stage and live project design coordination
- Experience in a Design Co-ordinator or similar role is advantageous
- A build or construction background is preferred but not essential
- Strong understanding of drawings and design documentation
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple work streams
This role offers genuine long-term progression. For the right individual, there is a clear opportunity to grow into managing and leading a design team, with that team being formed around this position as the business continues to expand.
What's on Offer
- Opportunity to work on varied and high-value projects
- A supportive, family-run business with a collaborative culture
- Long-term career development and leadership potential
