About the Company

Are you a creative Packaging Designer who enjoys bringing new products to life but also takes pride in producing technically accurate artwork?

We're working exclusively with a well-established and growing consumer products business to recruit a Junior/Mid-Weight Packaging Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit creative team where you'll have genuine input into new product development whilst building your expertise across the entire packaging design process.

This role offers a fantastic mix of creative concept generation, artwork production and technical packaging design, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to see their work progress from initial idea through to the finished product.

Description

Working closely with the Lead Designer and wider product development team, you'll be responsible for creating engaging packaging concepts as well as producing accurate, print-ready artwork for a broad range of products.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing creative packaging concepts for new product launches
• Researching market trends and presenting design ideas
• Creating and amending packaging artwork to print-ready standards
• Producing artwork using cutter guides and print specifications
• Laying out back-of-pack information and implementing technical updates
• Collaborating with technical, product development and marketing teams
• Supporting photoshoots through creative art direction when required
• Designing a variety of additional creative assets across the business when needed

Experience

We're looking for someone who combines creativity with exceptional attention to detail.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous packaging design experience, ideally within food, beverage, FMCG or retail
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
• Experience preparing artwork for print
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative approach whilst also being confident working independently

Most importantly, you'll understand that great packaging design isn't just about exciting creative ideas; it's also about producing flawless artwork and ensuring every detail is accurate.

Remuneration

• Salary of £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience
