Term: Term time only, pro rata £32,597 – £37,280 per annum.

Job Overview

Solihull Music is seeking experienced and inclusive Music Tutors to deliver face‑to‑face, high quality lessons across the borough in Solihull education settings. You will provide inspirational, wide‑ranging music experiences supporting pathways for all children and young people to reach their full musical potential.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons in strings (Violin, Viola, Cello) and SEND settings, both one‑to‑one and small group.
  • Perform and inspire on at least one principal instrument to a high standard.
  • Develop and support whole‑class groups, ensembles, and extra‑curricular groups, holiday clubs.
  • Participate in CPD sessions and contribute to career development initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Advantage: A Level Music or Grade 8 (or equivalent) level of knowledge, skills and ability.
  • Experience teaching Violin, Viola, Cello, and SEND.
  • Experience working with small groups and 1:1 tutoring within a school environment.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire through personal musical ability.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check for regulated activity with children.
Additional Requirements
  • Essential car‑user post – applicants must have a valid driving licence, be a car owner or have access to a suitable vehicle. Reasonable adjustments available for disabled applicants.
  • Fluency duty as outlined in the English language Code of Practice.
