We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full time, permanent Teaching Assistant to join a high-achieving Grammar secondary school in Rochester. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in the KS4 age range. With students preparing for their GCSE examinations, the successful candidate will play an important role in providing additional academic, emotional and pastoral support during a particularly demanding time in their education.

Working hours are 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday, term time only. Fully on site. Salary - £26,000-£28,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons Assisting students with their learning and academic development, in both 1-2-1 and small group settings Monitor and report student's progress and any concerns to the appropriate staff Build positive and professional relationships with staff and students Observing student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff Follow the school's safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety policies.

About You Is passionate about supporting young people, especially during stressful and young people to achieve their best Able to provide additional support and encouragement during GCSE preparation Calm and reassuring when students may feel under pressure Has strong communication and interpersonal skills Committed to supporting student's academic progress and well-being Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
