ICT Teacher - Games Design (Digital Skills Level
1) needed in Solihull

Are you a creative and passionate ICT Teacher with experience in Games Design, Digital Skills or Creative Media? Are you looking for an opportunity to inspire young people who thrive through practical, engaging learning? Join our agency team and work in a welcoming Alternative Provision in Moseley that supports students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs, ASD, attachment disorders and behavioural needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use technology and creativity to help students develop confidence, achieve recognised qualifications and prepare for future education or employment.

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive Alternative Provision that places relationships, inclusion and personalised learning at the heart of everything they do. As the ICT Teacher, you will deliver engaging Digital Skills Level 1 and Games Design lessons that inspire creativity while developing practical digital skills. You'll adapt learning to meet individual needs, making technology accessible and enjoyable for students who may have experienced barriers to education.

Working alongside teaching assistants, pastoral staff and senior leaders, you'll create a calm, structured learning environment where students can develop confidence, resilience and employability skills through technology-based learning.

What We're Looking For
  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification (or significant industry experience with a passion for teaching)
  • Experience delivering ICT, Computing, Digital Skills or Games Design
  • A creative and engaging teaching style that motivates reluctant learners
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH, ASD or additional learning needs
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A flexible, resilient approach and commitment to safeguarding
  • The ability to differentiate learning to meet individual needs
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience delivering vocational or Digital Skills qualifications
  • Knowledge of games design, digital creativity or interactive media
  • Experience working within an Alternative Provision, PRU or specialist setting
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches
