Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a nursery setting to join a welcoming primary school in Solihull.

This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position starting ASAP, with the role available on an ongoing, long-term basis until December half term. The successful candidate will provide general classroom support within a Nursery class. There are pupils with SEN within the class, so you will also be required to provide additional support where needed, helping pupils to access learning and feel supported within the classroom.

• Working with individuals and small groups to support learning
• Providing additional support to pupils with SEN when required
• Helping pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
• Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with TA colleagues to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities
• Support the Class Teacher in planning, assessment and day-to-day classroom routines
• Provide care and learning support within nursery and 2-year-old provision settings
• Promote safeguarding, behaviour support and positive early years development

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous UK school experience is essential
• Strong understanding of EYFS, Reception and Key Stage 1 (KS1) frameworks
• Knowledge of Key Stage 2 (KS2) transition support beneficial
• Experience working in nursery or early years settings as a Nursery Nurse
• Ability to support inclusive learning within a Primary School environment

• £92.59 to £100 a day which equates to £18,055 to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Teaching Assistant role is based in Tanworth-in-Arden, Solihull, and is easily commutable from surrounding areas including Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Henley-in-Arden, Solihull and Warwick.
