Flourish Education are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Coventry
, starting in January 2027 and continuing until July 2027
.
The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs and communication difficulties
. You will become part of a dedicated specialist team, providing consistent support and helping pupils to access education in a structured and supportive environment.
This is a long-term opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
Job Role:- Support pupils with complex SEN and additional needs
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support
- Work with pupils with SEMH, ASD and ADHD
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Assist pupils with accessing their individualised curriculum
- Follow individual support and behaviour plans
- Encourage independence and social development
- Work alongside specialist teachers and wider support staff
- Maintain a calm, structured and supportive environment
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Experience with in a specialist school or SEND setting
- Knowledge of SEMH, Autism and ADHD
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour
- Understanding of emotional regulation strategies
- Resilient and patient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in Coventry and is easily commutable from Tile Hill, Allesley, Canley, Earlsdon, Binley, Walsgrave, Nuneaton, Bedworth and surrounding areas
