We are seeking an enthusiastic and supportive hourly paid Engineering Employability Tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging sessions to adult learners preparing for careers within the engineering and manufacturing sectors across our Adult Skills provision.
In this role, you will deliver interactive and motivating lessons that help learners develop the technical awareness, employability skills, behaviours, and confidence required to progress into engineering employment, apprenticeships, or further learning. This includes supporting adults with areas such as workplace communication, teamwork, problem-solving, health and safety awareness, engineering industries and career pathways, digital skills, professional behaviours, job-search techniques, CV writing, interview preparation, and understanding employer expectations within engineering environments.
You should be confident in adapting your teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners, providing practical industry-focused guidance, encouragement, and a positive learning environment. Experience of the engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or related industrial sectors would be advantageous. Assessing learner progress, offering constructive feedback, and helping individuals set realistic employment goals will be key aspects of the role. You will also promote professional standards, a strong health and safety culture, and the attitudes and behaviours valued by engineering employers.
The role will be based primarily at the Woodlands campus with some cover required at the Blossomfield campus. Applicants must therefore be able to travel flexibly between both campuses.
