An excellent opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and reputable manufacturing business based in Birmingham. As a Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing and site equipment. You will work within a structured maintenance environment focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

• Carry out front-line electrical repairs and maintenance activities
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• Maintain manufacturing machinery and ancillary/site service equipment
• Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and PLC systems
• Support machine reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Liaise with production teams regarding downtime, repairs, and plant handovers
• Deliver effective and efficient breakdown response
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and quality procedures
• Work collaboratively within a flexible engineering team environment

Electrical Maintenance background or multi-skilled with electrical bias.

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
• Time-served apprenticeship
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability
• Good understanding of PLC systems
• Ability to interpret electrical circuit drawings
• Heavy engineering or manufacturing experience
• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations

• ONC or HNC in Engineering
• Experience with in heavy industry industry
• Knowledge of EHS procedures in manufacturing environments
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
