- Solihull - £75,000 - £85,000 per annum Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead their finance function and support the senior leadership team in driving business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to oversee financial operations, strengthen financial controls, deliver strategic insight, and play a pivotal role in supporting continued growth and success.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
Lead the finance function, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and KPI reporting to senior stakeholders. Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making. Oversee cashflow management, working capital, and treasury activities.

Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting. Manage the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and advisors. Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and governance requirements. Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture. Support business growth initiatives, investment projects, and strategic planning activities. Provide detailed analysis on financial performance, profitability, and business opportunities.

Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, contributing to the overall business strategy. Key essentials of the Head of Finance: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role. Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise. Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of developing finance teams.
