Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Manager will lead the delivery of high-quality HR services across a designated regional hub, supporting multiple locations and teams. The role will focus on operational HR delivery, compliance, and the consistent application of policies and best practice, aligned with a global HR operating model.
You will be a trusted HR partner, providing hands-on support across the employee life cycle and ensuring effective use of the organisation’s HRIS to support onboarding, performance management, payroll inputs, and reporting.
Main duties include:
* Act as the first point of contact for HR operational matters across locations supported by the hub
* Deliver consistent and effective HR support, ensuring policies and procedures are applied fairly and in line with organisational values
* Champion and maintain accurate use of the HRIS for on boarding, appraisals, absence, payroll inputs, and reporting
* Ensure compliance with UK employment law, safeguarding requirements, and internal policies
* Act as Safeguarding Officer for the designated hub
* Oversee onboarding, probation, appraisal, and off boarding processes
* Coordinate payroll inputs and support absence and time-off management
* Support legal and regulatory audits as required
* Collaborate with HR colleagues across other hubs to share best practice and support cross-hub initiatives
* Provide timely HR reporting on metrics, risks, and local developments
* Support cross-hub and global HR projects
* Work with colleagues across different time zones, with occasional out-of-hours availability
As the ideal candidate, you will possess a relevant professional HR qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent) and possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a generalist or operational HR role. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance is desirable along with experience supporting multi-site and/or international teams Practical experience using HRIS platforms (e.g. Bamboo
HR, Workday, Suite People) will hold you in good stead and experience of working in the charity arena is desired however, not essential.
Please note, the organisation has a requirement for all team members to be a practicing Christian and actively involved in a local church. There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) for this role to be filled by a practicing Christian as per the organisations Statement of Faith.
