We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Procurement Manager to join our team within Vistry Services, ideally based out of our Kent or Birmingham office. As our Group Procurement Manager, you will co-ordinate the negotiation, implementation and management of multiple Group Purchasing and Service Level Agreements as part of the Group Commercial Team.

Strong mathematical and IT skills.
HNC/ONC in Construction or similar.
Experience of working in a similar position within the house building industry.
In depth knowledge of core categories within house building procurement and understanding of relevant supply markets.
Demonstratable experience of delivering savings within a house building or construction environment.
Good understanding of procurement processes within the construction industry.
Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Strong negotiating and networking skills.
Good knowledge of UK House building supply markets.
Ability to analyse and assess information in different formats to make informed decisions.
Good general commercial awareness.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a calm and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders of various levels.
Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet tight deadlines.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates will be required to travel to Vistry regional offices and external suppliers on a regular basis
Desirable…
Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply or willing to work towards.
Working towards being a Chartered member of CIPS.
Experience of working in a senior procurement position within the house building industry.
Previous experience of negotiating high level group agreements for a PLC House builder.
Sound knowledge of procurement in relation to both house building and partnerships businesses.
Thorough understanding of legislation relating to procurement contracts and policies.

Manage the full procurement lifecycle across a variety of both direct and indirect categories inclusive of tendering, negotiating, implementation and contract management.
Become business 'champion' across a wide range of categories within the group and assist with any queries or performance issues as required.
Ensure the timely re-negotiation of Group Purchasing Agreements and the issuing of information relating to these across the wider business.
Ensure all KPI's within Service Level Agreements are being met and any instances or poor performance are promptly addressed through the relevant escalation procedure.
Adopt a 'Best in Class' approach to the implementation of all GPA's and SLA's ensuring that all agreements are issued on time and are contractually robust.
Ensure a 'One Vistry' view is applied when group deals are implemented.
Ensure GPA's are aligned with internal specifications, trade specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP'S).
Provide effective market intelligence to the Head of Procurement in relation to key trends and risks within designated categories.
