Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 plus Packages

We are working on behalf of a National Tier 1 Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their team on a major programme of works at Birmingham Airport.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a range of internal/interior fit‑out, refurbishment, and reconfiguration projects, with values ranging from £50k to £25m.

This is a site‑based role with hybrid flexibility, working as part of a collaborative project team and supported by Design Coordinators.

• Manage and coordinate the design process across multiple projects.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design delivery aligns with programme and budget.
• Review and manage design information, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Support the delivery of fit‑out, refurbishment, and reconfiguration works within live environments.
• Mentor and oversee Design Coordinators within the team.

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor or subcontractor environment.
• Strong background in fit‑out, refurbishment, and internal configuration projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and hit the ground running.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Experience working in aviation or airport environments is a bonus, but not essential.
