Industrial Engineer
Birmingham
£43.50-£51.50 per hour (Umbrella)
Inside IR35 | Initial 6-Month Contract | Long-Term Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join a major aerospace and defence manufacturing programme supporting complex aircraft production.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll help improve manufacturing performance, optimise production flow and support operational delivery across a high-profile programme.
The Role
You'll work alongside engineering, production and programme teams to improve manufacturing efficiency through planning, capacity analysis and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing and managing production and operational plans.
Analysing work statements, production forecasts and manufacturing capacity.
Supporting production scheduling and execution planning.
Identifying manufacturing constraints and implementing practical solutions.
Optimising production line balance and rate readiness.
Conducting time studies and labour analysis.
Developing production recovery plans.
Supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
Updating factory visual management systems.
Building strong relationships with engineering, production and programme stakeholders. What We're Looking For
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in:
Industrial Engineering within aerospace, defence or another complex manufacturing environment.
Production planning and operational scheduling.
Capacity planning and manufacturing optimisation.
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills. A degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is desirable.
What's on Offer
£43.50-£51.50 per hour (Umbrella).
Inside IR35.
Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential.
Full-time onsite in Birmingham.
