HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver – Solihull, West Midlands People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Solihull, West Midlands to join our well-established client. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, with plenty of ongoing work available. Shifts
• Monday to Friday – start times between 03:00 and 06:00
• Weekend availability if required Rates of Pay • £17.00 – £20.35 per hour Benefits

• Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties
• Operate and drive Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel usage
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs
• Assist with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills
• Valid UK CE (Class
1) licence
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points (minor endorsements only)
• Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards
• Good spoken and written English
• Experience with various trailer types
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible and able to work overtime
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience across multiple vehicle types Training Provided
