JOB FUNCTION
The Global Supply Chain Director will oversee and optimize the end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations for the organization. The role will employ strategy leadership to ensure timely and cost-effective global sourcing. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance our supply chain’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
JOB DUTIES- Monitor and develop global strategy for existing supply chain processes.
- Design and lead cost-saving initiatives.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or logistics providers.
- Monitor supplier performance appraisal program and direct Supplier Development team to excellence.
- Monitor forecast model accuracy and other tactical KPIs.
- Guide demand planning; balancing service levels and working capital while reporting to stakeholders.
- Lead additions and edits to supplier SOP; monitor adherence.
- Recognizing and mitigating supply chain risk through diversification, contingencies, and redundancies.
- Manage global personnel in supplier development, logistics, commodity management, procurement, & compliance.
- Other duties as requested by management
- Travel requirements: 20% per year, including International.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records.
- Currently familiarity with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred), and Microsoft Office suite.
- Can work independently and without supervision when required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
- The ability to make informed decisions about pricing and inventory management.
- The ability to develop and execute strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting strategies and results to senior leadership.
- Skill in assessing and mitigating risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain with at least 10+ years of working experience in a similar role.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing company is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership roles with managing a global team.
