Collections Specialist

As an award-winning debt collection agency located in Solon, Ohio, we are looking for motivated team members who are ready to grow, learn, and make an impact.

As a member of the NES team, you’ll contact consumers by phone regarding accounts placed with NES for collection and work with consumers to resolve outstanding consumer accounts on behalf of our clients. This position combines customer service excellence with debt recovery responsibilities, helping consumers identify solutions while meeting established collection goals.

NES provides extensive paid training to give you the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to succeed in the role and grow within the company.

• Contact consumers by phone to discuss and resolve outstanding balances
• Listen to consumer needs and identify creative repayment solutions
• Discuss and negotiate applicable repayment programs
• Overcome objections while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach
• Work with consumers to resolve outstanding consumer accounts on behalf of our clients
• Provide a high level of customer service during every interaction
• Meet established collection and performance goals
• Accurately document consumer interactions and account information
• Follow all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Reliable transportation to our Solon, OH location
• Strong active listening and problem-solving skills
• General computer knowledge and typing skills
• Successful completion of a skills assessment
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• 3 Days: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 2 Days: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
