Real Estate VP of Development

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a VP of Development in Solon, OH
.

We are seeking an experienced VP of Development to lead the strategy, financing, and execution of hospitality and multifamily real estate projects from concept to completion. This role oversees all phases of development, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in nature – interested in the inter-workings of the business, have strong critical thinking and attention to detail.

• Lead real estate development strategy for hospitality and multifamily assets.
• Identify opportunities, analyze market trends, and secure financing.
• Oversee construction, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Build and manage high-performing teams and foster a positive culture.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and manage project risks.
• Maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Drive innovation to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or construction management from accredited institution
• 7+ years of experience in real estate development
• Proven experience leading large-scale hospitality or multifamily projects.
• Strong financial acumen and project management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
