CNC Machinist

Overview

Position Summary: IC Automation produces a wide variety of high-quality parts to implement in the latest state of the art machinery and robotic systems. We utilize the latest in CNC machinery and equipment to support our operations. Machines include vertical mills with 4th axis capability, as well as lathes with live tooling and Y-Axis capabilities.

We are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team. To be successful in this position the candidate must be able to program, set up, and operate machines such as mills, lathes, and auxiliary equipment.

• Complete set-up and operation of machining equipment.
• Develop and run CNC programs utilizing CAM software.
• Select tooling and modify fixturing to make quality parts.
• Check machined parts using blueprints.
• Understand GD&T and perform inspections accordingly.
• Perform periodical machine maintenance.
• Correct problems in set-up, non-conformance, tooling, and machining processes.
• Make suggestions for process changes that may improve machining operations.
• Clearly communicates potential quality issues with management.
• Maintain an organized workspace.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient knowledge about metal or plastic cutting processes and equipment
• Self-motivated, detail oriented with a drive to learn.
• Demonstrates proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.
