Manufacturing Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Manufacturing Mechanic - 3rd Shift at ITW Permatex — Solon, OH.

Schedule:

Sun–Thu 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Compensation: $28–$35/hr (based on experience).

• Diagnose, repair, and set up machinery in production and facility areas.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
• Work with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, welding, and carpentry systems.
• Use machine tools to fabricate parts and fixtures when needed.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to solve equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot high-voltage and low-voltage control systems with a multimeter.
• Train and mentor other mechanics and inspect their work for quality.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and initiate work orders.

• High school diploma/GED + 3–5 years in a technical trade or similar role.
• Strong industrial electrical skills (PLC, Air Logic, I/O controls, 24
  
  VDC/120
  
  VAC).
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically active environment (bending, climbing, twisting).
• Comfort working around heat/cold, dust, chemicals, noise, and heights (training and PPE provided).
• Experience operating motorized equipment (like powered industrial trucks) is a plus.

$28–$35/hr (based on experience)
