Assembler – Level 2 – 3rd Shift

Shift: 3rd Shift

At this level the associate can perform job duties independently, operate per standard work, perform basic process changeovers and troubleshooting with minimal guidance, and recognize and solve routine problems.

• Efficiently perform all assembly/packaging job functions.
• Operate designated assembly/packaging equipment.
• Assemble components into complete or partial products according to standard work.
• Demonstrate capability of routine/minor set‑up on basic equipment.
• Verify trace n for all materials used on each job.
• Follow proper part handling procedures.
• Follow Swagelok documentation necessary to perform job functions.
• Recognize non‑conformances and inform supervisor, team coordinator, or set‑up.
• Maintain product knowledge of basic part numbers, components, materials, and configurations.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and clean‑up.
• Complete daily documentation (tally sheet, cell board production).
• Perform in‑process inspection (visual and gaging) during assembly.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in area.
• Plan and prioritize daily orders.
• Use SAP for job‑related administrative tasks.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Maintain a balanced workload during and between shifts.
• Follow daily equipment checklist (Standard Work).

• High school diploma or GED.
• Assembly experience preferred or related job aptitude.
• Able to recognize functional and cosmetic defects.
• Responsible for the assembly, testing, and packaging of product.
• Requires use of assembly equipment and standard work.
• Able to navigate computer to access SAP, documents, qualification report, etc.

Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Must maintain regular, punctual attendance. Must be able to lift boxes on a regular basis between 25–35 pounds and occasionally between 35–50 pounds. Considerable standing, stooping and bending required.
