As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and/or ACME equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to the highest quality standards.

• Sets up and operates ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
• Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
• Performs duties required to assist setup and operate multiple ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
• Works from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
• Checks material for correct size and type.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Moves materials in the performance of duties.
• Installs and checks safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
• Reports faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Completes required quality checks/documents and production documentation.
• Observes all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.

  Conditions:
  
  You may experience temperature changes, noise levels exceeding 85 decibels, and exposure to dust, grease, and other industrial materials. PPE and safety measures are required.
• Safety Hazards: You may be exposed to mechanical parts, sharp objects, and heavy machinery. Completion of safety training and strict adherence to all safety precautions are mandatory.
• Physical Strain: Tasks may involve repetitive motions, standing for long periods, and handling various weights.
• Vision and Auditory: Requires good vision and hearing to respond to machinery sounds, alarms, and instructions.
• Physical Activity: Requires standing up to 8 hours, lifting 35 pounds, and occasionally pushing/pulling 75 pounds or more.
