Job Description

Permatex is currently looking for a Chemical Mixer to join our 1st shift team. 1st Shift hours are 7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday.

Pay Rate: $24 - $27 depending on experience.

To perform data entry and administrative duties to support the operations of the Manufacturing department.

• Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and add chemical raw materials manually or automatically
• Manufacture material according to batch cards and mixing work instructions using computer software
• Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Perform routine batch quality checks
• Sanitizes mixing equipment per work instructions at scheduled intervals
• Monitors integrity of mixes and shuts down operation if out of compliance
• Assists in training of new mixers and assists other lines as needed
• Promotes and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
• Recommends safety improvements as needed
• Performs various other duties as necessary.

• High school diploma/GED required
• 3-4 years of batch mixing experience in hand cleaner or related industry
• Must be computer literate
• Must be certified to drive all types of lift trucks: low-lift, fork-lift, high-lift
• Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.

Pay Rate: $24 - $27 depending on experience.
