Do you love cracking complex geometries and owning parts from print to production release?
Are you fluent in Mastercam and comfortable navigating Solid Works models?
Does a job shop’s variety—prototype today, low‑volume tomorrow—sound like your ideal rhythm?
Can you create efficient 4‑axis, 5‑axis, and mill‑turn toolpaths—and prove them out on the floor?
Do you enjoy mentoring others and collaborating with engineering, quality, and production?
What You’ll DoProgram complex parts for mills and lathes using Mastercam and Smartcam.
Work directly from Solid Works models and customer drawings to define machining intent.
Develop multi‑axis strategies for prototypes and low‑volume runs.
Choose tooling, work holding, and cutting parameters for quality and throughput.
Perform on‑machine prove‑outs; refine programs to eliminate inefficiencies.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program issues quickly and methodically.
Generate setup sheets and tooling documentation for setup machinists.
Mentor teammates and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships.
What You’ll Need to Succeed8+ years CNC programming in a production or job shop setting (job shop preferred).Expertise in Mastercam; solid Solid Works capability (feature recognition/design intent).Extensive multi‑axis programming on mills and lathes.
Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
Background in tight‑tolerance work and complex thread forms (ACME, buttress, custom).Independent problem‑solver; experience with post edits and macro/parametric programming.
Experience assisting with quoting or DFM/manufacturability reviews.
Exposure to automation or lights‑out machining.
Your Toolkit CAM:
Mastercam, MazatrolCAD:
Solid Works, AutoCAD (3D modeling and 2D drawings)
Milling: 3–4 axis VMCs (Fanuc, Mazak, Doosan, Makino); 5+ axis VMCs (Fanuc, Mazak)
Turning: 2–4 axis and 5+ axis lathes (Mazak, Doosan)
