Commitment Bonus: $20,000 (nights)

This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments.

Education:

Associate's Degree Nursing (ADN) Required;
Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred

License:
Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

• Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs; sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Develops individual nursing care plans
• Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
• Evaluates patient care outcomes
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition; accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given

• Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas
• Assists in the orientation of new employees
• Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations
• Participates in performance/process improvement activities
