Schedule & Compensation

• Full Time Nights (12 hours)
• Weekends – every other weekend
• Commitment Bonus: $15,000 (eligible after 90 days of employment)

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must have a current state RN license or a multistate compact RN licensure and an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.

Additional Requirements

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire
• Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire
• Requires critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing

Department/Unit Summary

• 25‑bed unit with private rooms
• All patients on telemetry monitor
• ADT Charge Nurse – assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Team nursing model
• Fast‑paced environment with high patient turnover
• Patient population includes heart history and post‑cardiac‑catheterization patients

Essential Functions

• Assesses patient condition and nursing care needs
• Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Develops individual nursing care plans
• Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
• Evaluates patient care outcomes
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
• Administers medications, treatments, and therapies
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition
• Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given

Nonessential Functions

• Maintains facility equipment, supplies, and work areas
• Assists in orientation of new employees
• Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations
• Participates in performance/process improvement activities
