American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 2 Special Care Nursery position requiring 2+ years NICU experience and NRP certification.

• Works in an 8-bed Special Care Level 2 Nursery within an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes full term, early term, and pre-term neonates
• Common diagnoses and treatments include NAS/NOWS, TTN, IV antibiotics, Bubble CPAP, and OG/NG feeds
• Patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3
• Uses Meditech/GE Centricity EHR system
• 13-week assignment with 7am-7pm shift schedule
• Scheduled for 2 weekend shifts per month
• Floating required to Mother/Baby Postpartum unit
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license (KY or compact) required
• Current certifications: NRP, STABLE, and BLS
• Minimum 2 years of Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher NICU experience required
• Ability to attend deliveries and initiate/run NRP resuscitation preferred

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery setting
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Dress code requires royal blue or hospital-issued OR scrubs; hoodies and sweatshirts not permitted
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time during assignment
