Design Manager

We are seeking a proactive Design Manager to join our project team on a fast-paced building in Somerset.

Working for a leading main contractor, you will play a key role in managing the design process ensuring designs are coordinated, buildable, and delivered to program. Working with the supply chain to find WIN's for all parties.

Responsibilities

* Manage and coordinate the design process across all project stages.

* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the site delivery team to ensure effective communication and collaboration

* Review design information to ensure compliance

* Identify and resolve design issues proactively to minimize delays and risks

* Chair design team meetings and monitor progress against agreed deliverables

* Ensure all design information is issued accurately and in line with the construction program

* Support value engineering and buildability reviews throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

* Experience as a Design coordinator / Manager with a main OR PMC on building projects

* Strong understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and delivery

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment

* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
